IDEA ! ! !

Hi people...
Its been long since my last blog... I decided to scribble regularly from now on... hopefully i do...

Ever thought about innovative gadgets or designs,
A few years ago you might have thought about putting together the FLASHDRIVE + MP3 PLAYER, and the next thing you know, its out on the market and is selling hot!!!and you would have been left wondering....

This blog is going to be on such tech gadgets that i think about...

The chances are,

* These gadgets already exist, and i am unaware about it.
* Someone is already making them.. :(
* Or you might look and say, "Hey that was my IDEA!!" :D

Either way i dont really mind scribbling them in my blog, thats why i named it a scribblepad.

Creation No:1

PORTABLE SCANNER + SUPER THIN SCREEN + PROJECTOR + PRINTER = LAPTOP!!

Scanner shown here is a DocuPen RC800

The screen is 3mm-thick Sony OLED screen.

This Fusion sounds kinda simple, especially with such thin laptops coming out these days.
Once laptop have a scanner detachable in their side, u would have a powerful compact portable device... So what else can you stuff into it?
hmm...

How about a projector? This could help people in their powerpoint presentations and on the entertainment side, watching a movie or playing a game would become double the fun...

This is Microvision's, 60 fps DLP technology projector
(The big black part below that silver line is the battery, which we might not need it once we have a powersupply)

There are smaller ones too!!! i dont know about them.. :D
Just one more important piece left to put together into a laptop..
PRINTER!!!

This is a Pentax PocketJet 3, looks really compact to me... though it prints on specific type of paper, i hope it can be modified...

So when all the above stuffs are put together into a Laptop,
its going to be SUPER COOL....

Since its just all Happy imaginations, no practical problems like
*Power Supply required
*Is the scanner gonna be detachable easily?
*Paper Jams in Printer
*Ink replacements
*Repair or Replacement of Moving parts
etc...etc..
I am clueless on the technical difficulties sorry :(

Its an imaginative IDEA! Just enjoy...

A vast indoor stadium with enough seats to hold 20000 people, hosts a 50 M swimming pool in its centre. The pool stands divided by the line of bright orange floats into five distinct lanes. The flooded stadium roared with encouragement every time the swimmers took their mark at the start lanes. I watch anxiously, as four well built physiques stand at the lanes, waiting, preparing for the event, 400m breaststroke. Though I emerged first among the last heat, any one from this current heat might snatch away my position… I got to give it my best.

The cold breeze of the early morning and the freezing water in ignored. The competitive spirit in the stadium is too strong. You can feel the energy and excitement even if u were blind and deaf. Even the pool remains restless with waves just like the competitors them self. The eyes of the coaches scan the surroundings, looking for their students and for a possible match who might beat them. Listing their names and the respective timings of the competitors are a part of their job there. Well about the swimmers like us, we have nothing in our mind except a prayer that we mustn’t get a cramp in the middle of the race. We prepare mentally and physically for the stress that we are going to impose on ourselves.

The other end of the stadium is quiet and filled with a set of calm swimmers, who sit near the commentators. Just praying, and not knowing if they would make it through the state level. I would soon be joining them after this race. Some who can’t take the suspense start to cry.

The stadiums loud noises and commotion suddenly pauses when the last and final call for the heat is given. It’s time for the race. It’s going to be 8 long laps say the mind. Then there is that familiar long whistle “on your mark” then the short one “get set”, then “GO!!” The crowd roars and becomes noisy again, a quick dive, and for us a brief moment of silence underwater. Once the head reaches the top, the war has begun. Each one has their own strategy, so it’s hard to tell who might win. Some conserve energy for the first 6 laps and use the remaining for the last two. Its more like nitrous to the cars. My strategy is like that. But the others get ahead quickly at first and slow down, and some who have enough stamina……well those guys never slow down. L. I hate them.

First two laps, it looks like all r in the same line. Every time we make to turn we try to get a quick glimpse of our positions. When it was the fifth lap, there were two guys ahead of me. Its time to give everything I have. I make the turn and yell underwater with pure anger “Get back here you morons”. For the last two laps, every single bit of energy is squeezed out, cramps in the leg appear and vanish quickly, nothings gonna stop us. Heart pounds too rapidly as I manage to catch up to those guys ahead of me. Surprisingly in the next turn everybody has caught up and there was a straight line of swimmers now!. Every time u turn to your side for a gasp of breath, your competitor is right there on either side…!!!!!! ANNOYING… Nobody is giving up…. The finishing is going to be too close. At last we strike the wall hard. It was a loud thud, I guess all of us hit together the almost the same time.

Well, technically no, the electronic score board tells the story. It looked something like…

6 : 56 : 08 --- First
6 : 56 : 09 --- Second
6 : 56 : 24 --- Third
6 : 56 : 50 --- Fourth

And I was the fourth… I am not sure if I should laugh or cry now. All my competitors were smiling… I have lost already. It’s a shame. I was so close. All disappointed I raise from the pool and I walk towards my parents. It’s time to go home for me. I walk wondering, doing something like shaving my head bald might have helped me win this whole game.
Sounds funny??
Actually that could have significantly helped. I don’t see anything now except the next month of harder gym workouts and the busy school schedule.

The remaining Day....

SUNDAY

While packing my bag I found my diary.
Written in red ink. “Project submission on Monday”.
(Deep Breath).

Parents asked,
Question 1 when was this announced?
Question 2 what were u doing all these days?

Surprisingly I don’t have the answer for question 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody sat down to do project together.
Dad refers Encyclopedia, Mom draws border,
All for the hungry A4,
I start writing the intro, prepared earlier (in the pool remember?).
Time is 6.00pm, 30 pages completed, its taking for ever.
I go hunting for stick files in the nearby shop.

Classmate called me for some pictures of freedom fighter.I had 3 pictures.
But 8 pictures are compulsory it seems. Now I am speechless. The school is too strict, and those teachers sure know how to insult you better than anybody on this planet.
I told this to dad, he yelled at me as usual cause its 10pm now.
So we set out to hunt for stationary shops. 5kms from home we finally find one. So keep moving... More A4’s to be prepared. Time is 12am. Project looks completed.
But I feel like doing a revision for the test tomorrow. So study till 2am.
I don’t know when I slept.

MONDAY MORNING.

Ready for school. Reached 1hour earlier, thinking that I can play some table tennis. Well no chance. It’s our class turn to do the house program. It’s a little skit with a moral that should be enacted in the assembly.
No time to prepare30min left.
Grab a paper think of a moral make up a story. All my classmates finalize the plan. We tried memorizing the lines when the prayer went on.
Finally it was my turn, I played it well too. Whew………. That’s done.

THE SURPRISE.

Steped into class and unpack my bag.. PROJECT MISSING now I am on RED ALERT. What is the best that can b done, except laughing foolishly.
Hope tells me that dad would bring it with my lunch.
I am still not giving up the fight eh.

The teacher comes in announces test. I seem to remember the lines of the skit that morning better than my lessons…hahaha…

Then the best part of the day. “All those who have not completed the project get out of the class, I will not allow u to write the test today” says the teacher. I walk out, no questions asked... Of course a small crowd joins me. Friend says… ‘Dude we r screwed’.
We stand in the veranda looking at our classmates writing the test.
I wonder to myself, AM I STUPID? Quiet possible eh…, because the ones sitting inside seem perfect.

2 hours pass by lunch time is nearing 3 tests have been completed and I didn’t write any… Dad brings the lunch bag with the stick file…..happiness at last. Handed it over to the teacher and she insults me in front of the class for having the file and not writing the test. Great now I get to stand out for the rest of the day too….the whole stupid day goes by. I leave home at 5.30pm.

Homework noted in Diary + the next project

An Interesting Weekend

"Insufficient Time"

I used to complain the days fly by
And now the weeks got its pair of wings I guess.
My school life was busy, just sharing a weekend of my school life in my first blog.
It feels interesting to look back on such memories I had such great times, and I miss it now…
My classmates know what happens when a weekend goes bad.
So here is one of my bad ones.

FRIDAY

5min ride on my bicycle with that heavy bag…
Ah, finally home has come and the couch is heaven
All homework’s done and no complains at school even,
A successful day I would call it, but hey wait not just yet.

There was that project to be done, the last day’s ahead,
Gotto keep pushing for the A4 waits, data to b fed.
Oh no……!!!!!!! Can’t relax… Its 6pm. Time for swimming!!!!
I’m late by an hour. No time for a shower.
Gotto to get on time now where is that ride?
My friend calls…., reminds…., there’s no time to waste
Oooppss… the air check. It’s a race.
Make a pit stop, fill air. Checked my pockets found no cash.
Shop guy’s ma friend so he lets me go, I am on debt. No time to slow.
10 min on clock I reach the show sweating, panting.
(Coach says) Stamina build up day… so long swimming.
Translation…… Swim 500 laps in a 28m pool and go home :-).

Warm up starts, project in my head.
My friend looked sad I assume it must b that project pressure.
I ask him….watch what he said.

More shock.

He is worried about that monthly test. (Whaattt?)
I ask him of the project,
He looked stunned and yells ‘Oh noooooooo I forgot’.
Forget this as well
Tired from warm up.
Towards the pool we head.

“DON’T SLOW DOWN”.
Coach is strict he never let us lack.
Count for the first 10 laps. Then I loose track.

Ma mind’s on the test,
That last lessons in class?
Can I fair the test?
How am I to start project first?
Forget all the rest…

The next 100 laps or so I swim preparing intro for project,
My friends were doing the same I guess.
Time goes by, it feels like I am half asleep but still I am swimming...
400laps completed the coach whistles “Stop”. Time 9.30pm.
A set of friends join me with their cycles, and we ride home.

I took a shower and a dinner.
Told mum about the test this week.
Took that history book in hand.
Don’t ask me what happened next.

SATURDAY
The day is short.

10am…Preparing for test.
Obvious enough project was forgotten.
Completed the potions on the whole
Confidence consoles.
Study some more till 12am.
Relief at last… And a snooze.

THE SUNDAY IS THE BUSY DAY AND THE MONDAY IS THE FUN PART,
HOW I GOT STRUCK AT THE CLASSROOM…… U CAN SEE IT IN THE NEXT BLOG……
